THESIS: (general statement)
Nowadays, an increasing demand for jobs is driven by a boost in world population.
PARAPHRASE:
As a result, the old is facing a competition with the youth to get employed.
OVERALL:
In the forthcoming paragraphs, a few problems associated with this will be outlined along with some effective long-term solutions.

To commence with, there are several issues related to employing the youth with lack of experience rather than the old with many years of working experience. Firstly, companies may lose experienced staff in favor of young graduates. For example, there are some companies that put a restriction on age when accepting employees. Eventually, they are likely to mall-function because of dearth of skills or qualification. To sort out this problem, it is important for those which want to prosper to place young generation to work together with senior applicants so that the old can teach them a profound lesson. Secondly, for the elderly, depression can be triggered by the failure to be recruited for a kind of job because they may feel useless despite a great contribution they made to a business or company. It would be better tackled if bonuses for former staff were increased with the financial assistance of the young.


As for the difficulties which the youth may face, unfriendly atmosphere is the first thing they encounter. It is a natural phenomenon that newcomers are treated with disdain by old members who are unwilling to yield their jobs, which leads to the loss of interest in their professions among young applicants. That is why, social events should be organized by employers to make a way for staff to forge a good relationship. Last but not least, owing to short years of competence, chances of newly accepted staff to get promoted are far less than those working for long. The issue could be resolved by basing selection procedures on work productivity.


To be concluded, even though it is a highly controversial issue that there is a tough competition between junior and senior professionals for the same type of job, companies can address it by emphasizing on not solely competence, but also work efficiency.
