Among the companies with the most patents, “Samsung” is ranked the first, “IBM” 
is ranked the second and “LG” is ranked the third (Business Insider 2020). 
Out of the total patents obtained by region, the share of 65.0 percent fall to 
Asia, 20.4 percent fall to Europe, 11.3 percent – to North America, 1.1 percent-to 
Latin America, 1.1 percent- to Oceania and 0.5 percent fall to Africa. 
China is leading in terms of countries. It holds 42.8 percent of the world’s 
patents, the United States - 19.4 percent, Japan - 10.2 percent, Korea - 6.7 percent 
and the European Patent Office (ERO) - 5.1 percent. All other states own 15.8 
percent (Source, 2020). 
Currently there is an international patent system, the Patent Cooperation 
Trea (RST), which unites over 152 countries and helps applicants for patents for 
inventions in these countries (РСТ 2020). 
That is, it encourages local patent offices and companies in the decision-
making and allows the public to obtain and understand technical information about 
the invention. In compliance with the rules of this international patent system, an 
applicant can defend his invention in many countries of the world by filing an 
application for a single international patent. Uzbekistan joined the RST system on 
December 25, 1995 with the code “UZ”. 
In our opinion, it is necessary to formulate the concept of “Patent 
Information”. “
Patent information is applications and other statutory acts for the 
objects of industrial property, including inventions, industrial designs, 
applications for utility models”.
The patent owner has the right to use the invention, utility model, industrial 
sample at his own discretion to manufacture the product, sell or offer the products 
for sale, and import relevant products. Persons other than the patent owner shall 
not have the right to use the invention, utility model, industrial design without his 
permission. Furthermore, it is a violation of the patent owner’s right to 
manufacture, use, import, offer for sale, sell, use the method protected by the 
patent for the invention and manufacture of products using this patented invention, 
utility model or industrial design. 
Unauthorized manufacture, use, import, offer for sale, sale, other entry into 
civil circulation or storage for this purpose, as well as the use of a method 
protected by an invention patent through the use of the patented invention, utility 
model or industrial design is considered a violation of the exclusive right of the 
patent owner to bring into production or store for this purpose a product 
manufactured only by this method. The agreement on the transfer of patent rights 
to another person (grant of a patent) must be made in writing and registered with 
the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Non-compliance 
with its compilation in writing or its registration will result in the contract being 
declared invalid. 
Moreover, the party (licensor) who has the exclusive right to the patent 
under the license agreement shall authorize the use of this patent belonging to the
