Research Methodology. It is suggested to use technological approach as the main 
approach  in  teaching  cartographic  subjects.  Its  advantage  is  that  it  allows  you  to 
combine the most important advantages of previous approaches. All of them can be 
implemented on the basis of technological approaches. The most important thing in the 
use  of  technological  approach  is  that  it  provides  a  guaranteed  result  -  it  forms  the 
cartographic  competence  of  students  of  OTM.  There  is  a  need  for  professionally 
oriented  teaching  technology  that  provides  the  ability  and  readiness  to  mobilize  the

community to develop cartographic knowledge and skills, as well as to carry out 
educational and professional activities among students of OTM.[1] 
Why is it recommended to use a technological approach, as it provides: to provide 
a  real  contribution  of  the  subject  to  the  methodological,  theoretical,  technological 
preparation of the graduate; the need and ability to use the scientific content of the topic 
in  a  holistic  and  focused  format;  to  encourage  the  study  of  all  disciplines;  it  is  the 
development of the mind on the basis of a holistic approach to education.
