 Disraeli’s quote, referring to changes that need to be responded to in government, could 

equally be applied to the responses that are necessary from an organisation applying digital 

business practices. 

 However, for managing  

digital business transformation

it is possible to anticipate many of the changes that will be required by learning lessons from 

the pioneers of digital business. Through applying best practice and adopting risk manage‑
