and make counter-arguments. Here are the steps for how to organise the debates. The procedure looks
complicated, but we have trialled it in a number of schools and pupils have enjoyed it very much. We
hope you and your pupils will enjoy it too. Steps I and II will only be needed the first time you organise
a debate.
