Speaking. Can ask for what they want in a store where things are on display. 'Can I have this drink, please?' for example.
Reading. Can decipher basic information from a pen pal. 'My name is Anita,' for example. I'm 16 years old and attend school in Brazil.'
Writing. Can compose a simple message informing them of their whereabouts and expected return time. 'I've gone to school,' for example. 'I'll be back at 5 p.m.'

Listening. Possess the ability to engage in'small talk' and communicate uncomplicated opinions. 'This looks like a fun party,' for example. 'Yes, and everyone is dressed in amusing attire.'
Speaking. They have the ability to request what they want and communicate basic information with other customers. For instance, who was the first in line?
Reading. Can decipher simple descriptions of individuals, events, concepts, and opinions in letters. 'I feel unhappy because it is raining,' for example.
Writing. Can write a brief letter with basic facts. For instance, their name, age, residence, and so on.

Listening. Can hold a good amount of time in a casual chat. 'How was your camping trip this year?' for example. In all that rain, did you get washed away?' 'When we arrived, the campsite had been closed due to flooding.' However, we were quite fortunate in that the holiday company offered us a cottage in its place for the same price.'
Speaking. Can ask for most of what they want at a counter service shop (where goods are not on display).
Reading. Can decipher texts expressing a variety of personal viewpoints.
Writing. Possess the ability to write short letters expressing facts and happenings.

Listening. Can participate in a variety of conversations. For example, discussions about current happenings in the news.
