1. The formal letter given above represents one company's cancelling contract with the other. The director of the company informes directly and in a polite way that they do not need any more the services of this company. Below according to the business letter there will be evaluation on discursive features of it.

To begin with, there several collocations are used, such as need of, involve in, provide with, take opportunity, so far, high hope, held hope, on good terms, terms with, similar to, provide for, in the past. It is obviously that there is a perfect range of vocabulary usage and no repeated words. However, there are commas omitted after "unfortunately" and "nevertheless". In addition to this, the word "company" is used with the capital letter by the director of the cancelling company, which means that it is related to him or her. Also the sender utilizes inclusive pronouns: our and your to make a generalisation about company's rule. Last but not least, in terms of grammar structure there only present tense and active voice are used.

All in all, this letter is written including all features completely. Namely, grammatical structure is well and can be one of the good formal letters.

2. This personal letter illustrates one's personal information as he or she wantes to apply for a job. In the letter all his or her biography is given clearly, namely background education, work experience and the reason why applying for this job.

Firstly, grammatically, there no many collocations and conjunctions are used: eager to, apply for, lead to, seems to, fit with, related to, provide with, look forward to and so, and, with and or. Additionally, most of the sentences are utilized in present tense and active voice. On the other hand, no usage of wide range of vocabulary and complex sentence structure. Also we can see repeated words such as qualifications, experience and to fit.

Taking everything into account, I can not count this letter as a perfect written one because of some reasons mentioned above. However, writer may take a lesson after reading this analysis.

3. According to the given instruction, it is clear that this text is about how to use and avoid when something gets wrong of a technological device, PS (play station). In the informative text all the data is straightly directed to the consumer.

First of all, the instruction is written in a formal style. When it comes to grammar feature the writer has not utilised many collocations and conjunctions. For example, keep distance, take a break, similar to, such as, out of the reach, turn on and and, such as and or. What's more, all actions are in present tense, in active and passive voice. To give examples and illustrations (-) is used twice. Additional details, in order to make the data for everybody understandable some abbreviations are utilized such as, TV, PS3, USB. Second of all, in terms of vocabulary usage there are no repeated words and elementary ones. And also if clauses are mostly utilized in order to make the sense of instruction.

4. This advertisement gives very short information about Motorcycle. According to the text it is obvious that writer wantes to sell his or her device.

While describing the means of transportation the owner has not called for complex sentence structure or clauses, instead he or she utilized short descriptive sentences connected with commas (,). However, we can see both active and passive voices, all the verbs are in present tense. In terms of grammar feature, there also are not many collocations and conjunctions: insured with, for sale, in the evening and from conjunctions : only and for.



5. According to the given recipe, I have been informed about instructive data on how to make spicy orange vacabi fries. On the following text I will give my own evaluation after having learnt the whole information.

To begin with, it is clear that there are no complex sentences just like to instructional writing. Although the writer is not rich in vocabulary, he or she has utilized a lot of collocations, including cover with, chop into, add to, pour in, cool in, toss with, mix in, sprinkle over, spread onto, remove from and serve with. Also sentences are bound to each other with and and (,) conjunctions. Similar to writing the instruction, this recipe is also written direct to the reader. In the recipe all the actions are in present tense and only active voice. In addition, to describe the things which are in need many adjectives are utilized.
