Ballot: A piece of paper that lists all the options that can be voted for (same as ballot paper).
Ballot box: The container that is used to hold all the used ballot papers.
Big government: A description of government that is believed to be too much by some.
Bill: A draft from of a law before it has been approved by a vote.
Campaign: The contest between politicians to be elected.
Candidate: A person who wishes to be elected via a vote.
Debate: A conversation between people where they try to convince others that they have the correct beliefs.
Election: The process of voting to select winners to fill a political position.
Leaflet: A small piece of paper that has information printed on it.
Legislation: The process of forming new laws.
Liberal: A person who believes in progress and protecting civil liberties.
Majority: To have more than half of something, such as votes or seats.
Minister: A politician that has a specific job in the government.
Nominee: A person who has been selected to stand for political office.
Policy: A plan that a government or political party will follow when in government.
Prime Minister: The person who leads the government in a country with a parliament, also PM.
Senate: The upper part of the USA congress where elected politicians debate and vote.

distant, - 1. usually before noun far away from the place where you are. 2. someone who is distant seems unfriendly or does not show their feelings.
fortune, - 1. usually singular very large amount of money. 2 the things that happen to someone or something and the changing degree to which they are successful
grateful, - feeling that you want to thank someone because they have given you something or have done something for you.
maintenance, - work that is done to keep something such as a building, machine, or piece of equipment repaired and in good condition
mundane, 1. ordinary and not interesting or exciting, especially because of happening too regularly. 2. formalrelating to the world and practical matters instead of religious or spiritual ones
precise, - 1. exact and accurate. 2. used for emphasizing that something is definite or clearly true
repetitive - involving repeating the same action over long periods of time
responsibility- the state or job of being in charge of someone or something and of making sure that what they do or what happens to them is right or satisfactory
challenge - something that needs a lot of skill, energy, and determination to deal with or achieve, especially something you have never done before and will enjoy doing
