MONITOR. (Display)

The monitor serves to display on-screen direct communication with the computer.

The monitor displays in two different modes: text or graphics.

In text mode, the display screen is conditionally divided into 80 columns, 25 rows. Each character can fit one of 256 characters in place.

In graphical mode, the information consists of a set of dots, each dot having a color.

(color gamut from 16 colors to 16.8 million colors).

A keyboard is a device used by a user to enter data into a computer. IBM PS XT computers have 83 keyboards IBM PS AT 101 keyboards. Currently, mainly 101, 105 keys are released.

Depending on the function performed by the keys on the keyboard, we will go to the following section.

1. Alphabet - numeric keys (keys) (spaces, numbers 0-9, Latin letters A - Z, Cyrillic letters, A - YA, service characters, etc.)
