INTRODUCTION
The Subject matter of our course paper is to study the functions and components of intonation in English and Uzbek. Mainly, the differences of usage of intonation in both languages.
The aim of the course paper is to study the functions and components of intonation in English and Uzbek. Besides that to define the specific usage of intonation in the English and Uzbek languages.
In accordance with the presented aim the following tasks are put forward in the scientific work:
- To study the usage of intonation;
- To determine the specific features of intonation;
- To study the functions and components of intonation in English and Uzbek;
- To analyze the peculiar features of the intonation;
The novelty of the work is that the thorough investigation of the functions and components of intonation in English and Uzbek which have not been researched deeply yet; moreover to compare the functions and components of intonation in the English and Uzbek languages. We have analyzed intonation and its functions and components in both languages for the first time.
The actuality of the work is to ease and solve the quotes related to the problem of functions and components of intonation by giving comparative definitions analytically. And to compare the functions of intonation in English and Uzbek.
The theoretical significance of the investigation can be explained in this way that the results of the qualification paper may be useful in the lectures of Theoritical phonetics of English and Uzbek.
The practical significance of the work is that the results of the scientific work can be used in the course of lectures and seminars in English and Uzbek phonetics and also can be useful for those who study in the sphere of phonetics.
As the research material we used the most active the literature devoted to the English and Uzbek phonetics. Besides, we studied up to date American, British, Uzbek and other foreign articles on international websites related to the scientific work.
Structurally our qualification paper consists of the following: Introduction, two chapters and their paragraphs, conclusion followed by the list of used literature during the research.
Introduction presents the aim and the tasks of the qualification paper. Besides, it gives brief idea of the main problem of research.
The first chapter consists of two paragraphs which introduces the general survey on the intonation from the point of view phonetics in general.
The second chapter is devoted to the study of the functions and components of intonation in English and Uzbek.
The conclusion gives the general results of the work.
The scientific work ends with the list of literature used during the research.
