The state of today's world

Human beings are considerably tiny and weak creatures between the glorious sky and the enormous earth of the God, comparing other creatures, though, their pre-eminent and superior position on this planet can be identified by their possession of species-specific strengths, notably large and complicated brain, and the capacity for sophisticated communication through languages, which is deeply connected with, among other factors, curiosity. All human attitude, behaviour and abilities, including capacity and desire for learning, have provided the human race with the intention to dominate over the tiny ground they reside in the first place, and now, over the whole world.

So, today's world: is there something wrong with it? And if there is, then what is it? If this question were to be asked from ancient Greek, the probable answer would be a scene from a myth about Pandora. For she was the person who opened the box and released enmity, anger, violence, depression, greed, racism and discrimination into the world and all those mentioned have already become everyday occurrences in today's world. Another logical link of that tragic myth and our world is that Pandora was also a mortal being, and the problems and issues that affect the world today are all caused by the human race.
According to one of prehistoric religious commandments of Hinduism, each and every negative treatment toward a God's creation, it can be, say, a tree, or a natural habitat, or a living creature, will certainly derive a negative karma, which of course will eventually have a counter reaction. If to regard this statement as a logical concept, then, in my opinion, its evidence is nothing but the widespread, devastating, disastrous pandemic the world has ever undergone, Covid-19. In other words, I am here to mean that this pandemic was somewhat like a reply of the nature, of the universe towards all bizarre and evil and harm caused by us, humans.
Apparently, the global pandemic has created a circumstance under which even the world's biggest powerful leading countries trembled and literally, it was a metaphorical war between the humanity and the nature which can only be fought not with "bombs and bullets" but with "collective act of science and political will" as the president of the US, Joe Biden mentioned in his speech in the 76th session of the UN. And despite the fact that the volume of damage brought by Covid-19 is still overwhelming, according to the President of People's Republic China, Xi Jinping, "we must beat Covid-19 and win this decisive fight crucial to the future of humanity...and we, humanity, will surely overcome it and prevail" confidentially added Xi in his speech.
Undoubtedly, the pandemic is not the mere issue in the world with the endless violence and interruption of public peace in vulnerable countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and not to mention the Israeli-Palestinian problem. While the human race got so tied up with dedicating its brilliant intelligence to create cutting edge weapons to devour one another, the pandemic appeared as an outer attack, or a warning from the universe to humans that made countries believe or at least, pretend to believe that "to deliver for own people, we must also engage deeply with the rest of the world. Our security, our prosperity, and our very freedoms are interconnected as never before, and so, we must work together as never before" (cited from Joe Biden's speech in the UN).
As the leaders of developed countries have been claiming and calling for working in cooperation and improve global governance, by standing together and providing assistance to those who are in need, the human race can survive not only the pandemic, but also can rescue itself from downfall.
Before putting a closing point to the paper, I once more put forward the initial question of mine: is there something wrong with today's world? And I believe that the answer is both yes and no. I reckon that it is yes, since there are still the extracts from Pandora's box like violence and evil all over the world including needless massive deaths of innocent people, and the suffering nature and environment. Notwithstanding, I also believe that the answer is no as well, for there are numerous humanitarian and charity organizations all over the world, people with good intentions to commit good deeds and of course the hearts with pure love. The world has been made perfect with whatever goes around and comes around, and its perfectionism may not be always obvious but it is visible when love, and good deeds are present.
