T oday, the President chaired a meeting on the promotion of sports, improving sports education and training of talented athletes (https://t.me/Press_Secretary_Uz/1782).

The following system of professional training of athletes based on advanced foreign experience will be introduced:
- Colleges will be established in each region as training centers for Olympic and Paralympic sports;
- The centers will have Olympic schools for grades 5-9, Olympic and Paralympic colleges for grades 10-11 and 1-2 courses;
- Young people who have shown good results in the sports school for children and adolescents are admitted to the Olympic School, educated and engaged in in-depth sports;
- Graduates of specialized sports schools will be admitted to colleges in the 1st year, and a continuous system of training will be created;
- The Board of Coaches, consisting of advanced coaches and foreign experts, selects the athletes who have achieved the highest results in competitions;
- College graduates are admitted to the Institute of Higher Sports Skills;
- Salaries of sports school coaches will be increased by 35%. In addition, school principals, coaches, and other professionals who perform well will be paid an additional 50 percent bonus;
- Coaches who have won regional championships in team sports will receive a 5% bonus, and in the national championship - 20%.
