SERVANT LEADERSHIP
My presentation part is Servant Leadership. So, now I am going to explain briefly about my presentation. First of all, what is Origins of Servant Leadership, Servant leadership is a leadership philosophy in which the goal of the leader is to serve. This is different from traditional leadership where the leader's main focus is the thriving of their company or organizations.
Servant-leadership is about:
– Serving others, not yourself
– Not leading by title
– Helping people develop and perform as highly as possible
– Promoting genuine team ownership and harnessing the collective power of a team
During my presentation I will explain about what Servant leadership do? Well now I give some information about it.
• Devote themselves to serving the needs of organization members.
• Focus on meeting the needs of those they lead.
• Develop employees to bring out the best in them.
• Coach others and encourage their self-expression.
• Facilitate personal growth in all who work with them.
• Listen and build a sense of community.
Also, during my presentation I will explain about Characteristics of Servant Leaders. Here you can see 10 characteristics.
Listening 2. Empathy 3. Healing. 4. Awareness. 5. Persuasion 6. Conceptualization. 7. Foresight. 8. Stewardship. 9. Commitment to the growth of people. 10. Building community. Of course I will give definition to all of them during my presentation. Also I will give information about Qualities of a Servant Leader
Last thing is I will give real example of Servant leadership with companies for example Starbucks.
Starbucks Corporation has a servant leadership approach, which characterizes the behavioral manifestation of the company’s organizational culture among leaders, including corporate leaders and team leaders. In this approach, leaders, managers and supervisors emphasize support for subordinates to ensure that every employee grows in the company. This feature of Starbucks’ corporate culture translates to the employees-first approach. The company highlights the importance of caring for employees as a way of optimizing employee morale and customer satisfaction. Former Starbucks President Howard Behar developed this feature of the firm’s organizational culture because he believed that employees who are cared for are the ones who care about customers.

I took most of information from Wikipedia. Also Robert K. Greenleaf first coined the phrase "servant leadership" in his 1970 essay, "The Servant as a Leader." This book includes most part of my presentation. I gave example about Servant Leadership of Starbucks, I took this information from official Starbucks’ website.
