It is suspenseful within the first few minutes of the film that will make any viewer not want to go to the bathroom or be the one to refill the popcorn. Mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, girlfriends, and grandmothers will be infatuated by all of the romance and passion that the actors Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough express throughout the whole movie. Not only will girls be in love with this movie, but boys will enjoy it as well. This movie is filled with a bundle of twists and turns that will make any guy give chick flicks a second chance.

Josh Duhamel has not aged one bit. The 40-year-old actor plays a handsome, caring father in “Safe Haven” who is ready to find love again. He owns an old, but quaint store in Southport, North Carolina that many bus passengers come across on their trip across United States. One of these bus passengers happens to be Katie who is played by the stunning Julianne Hough. Katie seems like your typical sweet, pretty girl, but she holds a dark and a scary past that the audience does not discover until later on in the movie. This movie will keep everyone on their toes for the entire 115 minutes.

Katie is reluctant at first to become friends with anyone from Southport. She keeps her guard up by keeping to herself and not accepting any southern hospitality from anyone. After some time, she develops many friendships with her next-door neighbor, Jo, the storeowner, Alex, and his two children. She cannot help but fall in love with Alex and his two children. Alex needs to be careful though because he does not know about Katie’s mysterious past that lead her to come to Southport.

The chemistry that Alex, played by Josh Duhamel, and Katie have is unbreakable. Every girl will fall in love with this movie because of the chemistry that these two have for each other. Every guy will not be able to stay away from all the breathtaking and heat racing scenes that come with Katie’s love for Alex and his family. But, Katie must choose if this love is worth it. She must choose between risking the things she cares for or living a safe life alone. What is going to be her safe haven? This movie is a win-win for everyone.
