First of all, let me say a word about the person who caused my favorite work to come into the world. This work is "Between Two Doors". This work was created in 1986 by O'tkir Hoshimov. The artist was born on August 5, 1941 in Dombrabad, Tashkent. He was engaged in creativity even when he was a student.

Adib is the author of more than a dozen novels and short stories, many touching stories, several plays. He caught the attention of our great writer Abdulla Qahhor with his first major work. At school, we studied this artist's story "The King with a Child's Heart" and "The Last Victim of the War". In this process, I fell in love with the artist's works. Later, I read many of his works, including his novel "Between Two Doors". I am sure that this work will be read with love both in our country and abroad.

This work has been published several times over the past period. The novel was published six times in a relatively short time with more than three hundred thousand copies. This novel describes the tenacity and courage of the entire Uzbek people during the war years as it tells about the life of one of the villages near Tashkent for a quarter of a century. The events in it begin on the eve of the war, continue during the war years and after the war, and end with the 1966 Tashkent earthquake.
