HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT
EMPLOYEE SKILLS AUDIT (PER27)
A skills audit is a positive exercise designed to identify skills which the employer may not be aware its employees have. It is used if the employee’s position is at risk of redundancy or the employee’s fixed term contract is coming to an end, or some other reason has been identified as requiring us to help you seek suitable alternative employment.
You are asked to provide as much information as you can in order to assist us in seeking suitable alternative employment for you. As such, ‘skills’ should be broadly defined, e.g., “ability to communicate in a variety of situations”, “demonstrative ability to work to deadlines “. If you wish to, please attach a copy of your latest Curriculum Vitae.
You may consider changing your working pattern, hours or weeks of work. If so, please provide the various options which you would be able to consider. You may wish to discuss this with your Human Resources Department contact and they will provide advice and guidance on completing the form if you wish this.
Please complete this form and return it to Kelly Russell, Business Partner for the Service Centre in the Human Resources Department, University House as soon as possible.
Please note that once your completed form is received within the Human Resources Department, it will be assessed against current vacancies within the University of Portsmouth. However whilst every effort will be made to secure successful redeployment to suitable alternative employment, this cannot be guaranteed.
