Essay: My Travel to Samarqand

Last year I traveled around Uzbekistan. I have visited Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara. I could never even imagine that my stay in Samarkand and Bukhara would last as long as planned. And Samarkand and Bukhara, incredibly beautiful cities of Uzbekistan.
My travel to Uzbekistan is the best and brightest of my travels in Central Asia. Below are some of the highlights of my trip to Samarkand.
- The world famous Registan Square and its three huge and great madrasahs: Sher Dor Madrasah, was built in 1636, Ulugbek Madrasah, whose construction was completed in 1420, and Tillya Kari Madrasah, was built in 1660.
- Mausoleum Guri Amir - the mausoleum where Timurlan, his 2 sons and 2 grandchildren, including the great astronomer Ulugbek were buried.
- Hazrat-Khizr Mosque.
- Bibi-khanym Mosque with its 35-meter main gate.
- Shah and Zinda is the avenue of the beautiful mausoleum, where there is the tomb of Kusam ibn Abbas, the cousin of the Prophet Muhammad.
I recommend that you visit the historical cities of Uzbekistan: Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva.
