More children are suffering from obesity each year, which seems to concern the whole world. This issue might be determined by several factors, but I feel that tackling it is feasible.

Clearly, some reasons are available behind this rise in child obesity. To begin with, these days, many youngsters might lack sufficient physical exercise, because they might be addicted to social media or video games to a large extent, and also they often have to do a good amount of homework every day. Unfortunately, this leads them to have a sedentary lifestyle, and leaves almost no time for sports games. Additionally, most of today’s children appear to have unbalanced diet, probably due to ignorant parents, who do not often cook nutritious home-made meals because of working excessively. Therefore, youngsters are sometimes, if not always obliged to eat unhealthy food, such as fast food or chocolate, causing them to gain extra weight.

Handling child obesity might involve taking a handful of measures. Firstly, school boards tend to have the power to change this situation. For instance, in order to promote healthy lifestyle, they can regulate obligatory morning exercises for their students. Moreover, were they to mandate that every school employ a nutritionist to oversee the cafeteria offerings and conduct healthy eating workshops, this could improve students’ diet. Parents, simultaneously, should not only control their kids’ eating habits, but also allocate time to prepare well-cooked, fresh meals every single day. Possibly, these solutions can show tremendous effectiveness in short term.

In conclusion, unless some efforts are made by school and parents at the same time, child obesity will only likely to escalate.
