Los Altos Community Foundation accepting volunteer honoree nominations for John W. Gardner philanthropic awards dinner April 3rd

Los Altos Community Foundation is now accepting nominations from local non-profits for volunteers they wish to honor at the 10th annual John W. Gardner Awards dinner, to be held on Thursday, April 3rd at the Fremont Hills Country Club. The deadline for nominations is February 28th. Honorees will be announced March 3rd.

The Gardner Awards honors volunteers who make a difference in improving our communities, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, and Mountain View. Any non-profit serving any or all of our communities can nominate a dedicated volunteer for recognition at the dinner.
The Master of Ceremonies for the event will be comedian Jeff Applebaum. He is well known in the Bay Area and nationally having performed in many local theatres and clubs, as well as on the "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and Comedy.TV.
"The Gardner Awards are unique in our communities because any non-profit can nominate an exceptional volunteer, instead of an independent panel", said Joe Eyre, Executive Director of LACF. This enables all non-profits, including small ones, to recognize honorees with the broader local philanthropic community."
