Annotation. In this article the adopted concept and its tasks to substantiate and implement the promising strategies for the development of production in the Republic, to increase the efficiency of the management system of the textile industry through the formation of a cotton-textile cluster designed to implement a full production cycle, to create a competitive regional product of high added value in the cotton and textile industry, to assess the existing potential of the Republic and to ensure the prospects and organizational and economic mechanism for stimulating the cluster development of agriculture and textile industry, as well as sustainable economic growth and modernization of these sectors of the economy are specified.
Also, the necessity to develop effective strategies to increase the competitiveness of the cotton and textile industry of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, to analyze the existing system of economic relations between producers and processors of raw cotton of the Republic, their development features, existing problems and their solutions are shown. The author concludes that in order to form the cotton-textile clusters, it is necessary, first of all, to rehabilitate yarn and fabric enterprises that are competitive with other sectors of the textile industry.
