Rule: The division of syllables may be divided into the writing and pronunciation of words. For example, in writing the word “different” may be divided into three such as dif/fer/ent moreover, while pronouncing of the word “different” it is divided into two syllables ˈdɪf.rənt (the dot in the word shows how many syllables it has).
