INTRODUCTION 
(Annotation of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) dissertation) 
The aim of the research
is to reveal the role of Islam in the daily life of 
Uzbek women, the historical basis of ceremonies with the participation of women, 
the stages of development and the peculiarities of the Fergana Valley on the basis 
of ethnographic materials. 
The object of the research
is the daily life, religious rites and culture of 
Uzbek women in the Fergana Valley.
The subject of the study
is the place of the Islamic religion in the everyday 
life and worldview of Uzbek women in the Ferghana Valley of the 20th century, as 
well as the unique ethno-local features of family rituals and customs. 
The scientific novelty of the research: 
 
it has been revealed that the content of the combination of national and 
Islamic views in the daily life of women in the Fergana Valley is a symbiosis of a 
ceremonial worldview that is categorically stable in nature; 
justified that in Bibiseshanba, Mushkulkushod, Mavlud, Ashura ceremonies 
(time, order, symbols and food), which are popular among Uzbek women, prove 
the combination of ancient religious cults and Islamic views, ecological knowledge 
of nature and psychological views on solving problems in everyday life;

ceremony on the occasion of the opening of the Afghan redbud 
in pink in the spring at the Dusti Khudo Pirim Shrine in Oltiariq district of Fergana 
Province has been found to be an ethno-local ritual for women based on a mixture 
of Islamic traditions (recitation of Qur'anic verses, sacrifice, remembrance) along 
with the the cult of nature female deity (Anakhita). 
Various objects related to women in the shrines of Safedbulon (Olabuka 
district of Jalal-Abad region of the Kyrgyz Republic), Bibi Ubayda (Buvayda 
district of Fergana region) and Haji Baror (Akhunboboev district of Fergana 
region) related to the descendants of Muhammad (SaaS) in the Fergana Valley 
(stone, tree, kokil) and folklore (legends, myths, legends) related to female deities 
has been shown to have a psycho-psychological effect, such as giving comfort and 
hope to local women.
