INTRODUCTION (annotation of PhD dissertation)
The aim of the research work is to study and compare the structural, lexical and semantic features of dermatovenerological terms in English and Uzbek.
The object of the researchwork isdermatovenerological terms in the English and Uzbek languages.
The scientific novelty of the research is as follows:
revealed the theoretical study of medical terminology in linguistics it is mainly a comprehensive study in English and Russian linguistics, partially studied in Uzbek linguistics and substantiated the role of terms in this area in the language system using the analyzed sources;
the structure of the terms of dermatovenerology in English and Uzbek languages is analyzed, as well as a classification into productivity groups based on the sources available in these languages;
the classification of abbreviated groups is presented, it is revealed that they are formed by the method of reduction by initial letters, clippings, numbers, signs, ellipsis, blending;
by distributing the terms of dermatovenerology into the following lexico-semantic groups: skin morphology (anatomy, histology and physiology), names of diseases, medical devices and tests, names of drugs, as well as clinical signs, symptoms and syndromes used to diagnose skin and genital diseases, it has been established that the latter in structure are simple, simple derivatives, complex and combined.
the phenomena of synonymy, antonymy, homonymy and eponymy of the terms of dermatovenerology in the compared languagesare explained in detail in the semantics of the two languages;
the presence of models of metaphorical transition and metonymy in the formation of dermatovenerological terms in medical texts has been proven;
