Features of a chemical element: 
The position of a chemical element in periodic table is given according to its 
atomic  structure,  isotopes,  allotropic  form,  number  of  protons,  neutrons  and 
electrons, nuclear charge, its percentage or involvement in a compound substance.  
Features of a simple substance: 
Concerning the simple substance, physical properties (color, smell, taste and 
conductivity)  dissolubility  in  water,  aggregate  state,  their  occurrence  in  human 
body, boiling and liquefying temperature is taken into consideration. 
Allotropy:    the  existence  of  two  or  more  different  physical  forms  of  a 
chemical element.
