ABSTRACT 
The purpose of this paper is to provide an instructional quality assurance process model for academic 
administrators and educators. In Part I, a model of the Teaching Excellence Quality Assurance (TE-QA) process is 
presented. A discussion of the various stages of the development and implementation phases outlined in the TE-QA 
Process Model is also included in this first section. Part II provides an example of several TE-QA criteria and 
measures developed by a panel of academic, hospitality and business professionals. Rationale for the panel-
designed criteria and measures are presented as well as implications for educators and hospitality professionals are 
provided.
