TYPES OF SPORTS.
People go in for many kinds of sports. There are sports grounds near every school, every institute, every factory and plant. Besides there are sports clubs and sport school in every town. Many people go there for training. As to me I go in for table-tennis. I like this kind of sport. My friend likes table-tennis too. We often play it both. There are many sport teams at school. They are a football team, a volley-ball team, a basket-ball team, a table-tennis team.
Basketball is played in a gym or a playing ground 26x12 meters. The teams that play the game consist of 10 players each but only 5 of them are on the field at the same time the others are on the benches. The players can be changed as many times during the games as the captain or coach, wishes. The game is played for 40 minutes after the first 20 minutes the players have a ten minute rest. Basketball is considered to be the most emotional and graceful ball game.
Volleyball is played on a ground or in a gym 18x9 meters divided in half by a net. The top of the net is 245 meters above the ground for men and 2.25 meters for women. Each team has 12 players, 6 of which are on the field playing against. 6 of opponents team at the same time. The rest of the players change place according to the captains or coaches will the same as in basketball. Each game must be won by 15 points and with a margin.
Football (or soccer) is played almost throughout the world. In Uzbekistan it is the most popular of all games. The game is played in the streets, parks, playground etc. We have big league games which is real sport and division games too. Each team consists of 13-15 players, 11 active and 4 benchers. One of the players is the goalkeeper. The rest are field players, 6 for words, three halfback and two fullbacks.
