West Richland Police Citizens Academy
When: April 12, 2017 through June 07, 2017

Every Wednesday from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

The West Richland Police Department is now accepting applications for the 2017 West Richland Police Department Citizen’s Academy. The academy is free of charge and will be held each Wednesday night from 6-9pm beginning April 12, 2017 and ending with a graduation ceremony June 7, 2017.


The Citizen’s Academy is a program designed to provide participants a better understanding of the West Richland Police Department and how it functions. Course instruction includes but is not limited to: Patrol Procedures, k-9 Operations and demo, Gang and Drug Investigations, Use of Force, Firearms and Tours of the West Richland Police Department, Benton County Jail and Dispatch Center. You will have an opportunity to meet several of the officers and staff that work for the West Richland Police Department, as well as individuals from around the Tri-Cities who are involved in the criminal justice field.
Registration forms are available online at www.westrichland.org or may be picked up at the West Richland Police Department. This Citizen’s Academy class size is limited and registration is processed on a first come, first serve basis.
