Every Wednesday from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

The Citizen’s Academy is a program designed to provide participants a working knowledge of the West Richland Police Department. This nine week academy, which is free of charge, provides first-hand knowledge and front line experiences. Classes include but are not limited to: Patrol Procedures, k-9 Presentation, Gang and Drug Investigations, Use of Force, Firearms and Tours of the West Richland Police Department, Benton County Jail and Dispatch Center. You will have an opportunity to meet several of the officers and staff that work for the West Richland Police Department. There will also be several presentations done by individuals from around the Tri-Cities who are involved in the Criminal Justice System.

This Citizen Academy class size is limited and registration is processed on a first come, first serve basis.
