Wikipedia is "written collaboratively by volunteers from all around the world" and relies on the collective wisdom of its volunteers to get the facts right and to balance the opinions expressed. Wikipedia scored highest on all criteria except readability, and the authors concluded that Wikipedia is as good as or better than Britannica and a standard textbook. Wikipedia is a sea of information that is being contributed by readers present in all parts of the world, and the content on the site is growing by the minute. Encyclopedias are literary works that are definitive and authoritative, which cannot be said about Wikipedia.
