Activity 4 Play “It’s Winter”.  
Objective: to consolidate the new vocabulary and the structure
Do a jig-saw activity with cut pictures of four seasons. Divide 
the class into four groups and explain to the pupils that they

will now get cut flashcards of different colours: green, red, yel-
low and white. Then ask what they think there should be on the 
flashcards. After getting the correct answer, sum up and say that 
it is 4 seasons.
Further, explain that each team must collect a coherent pic-
ture of their season. so distribute the seasons for the teams. each 
team gets a coloured circle of one of four colours: green, red, yel-
low and white. This means that they need to collect the pictures 
of different seasons of the corresponding colour. each team must 
as soon as possible:
1) choose only the pictures of the same colour from a pile of 
cut pictures;
2) lay out a coherent picture of the cut pieces;
3) When they finish the picture, as a whole team they must 
say their season, for example, “it’s winter”.
During the task, you should help the children choose the right 
pictures and remind them what to say. You can keep all the pic-
tures in your hands. Quickly take one and show the class. Teams 
must take their colour. You should correct the children when 
needed. At the end of the task, each team must answer the ques-
tion “What season is it?”
