It should be noted that the “strategic analysis” concept, now failed in the literature on

In our view, the strategic analysis of the development of the regional economy is a

ensure the timely adaptation to the changing conditions.
It is well known that contradictions are the internal source of all development. A
feature of cognition that allows for the systematic resolution of these contradictions is the
existence of an analytical thinking style. It is known that the essence of the analysis is to
divide the whole into parts, to express the complex in the form of simple components.
However, to know the complex, the whole, the reverse process is also necessary - that is, the
process of synthesis. Strategic analysis of the development of the regional economy can be
consider as the initial stage of its scientific knowledge, the main task of strategic
management of the development of the regional economy.
The subject of scientific knowledge of the development of the regional economy, in
our opinion, includes:
study of practical experience of analytical work on strategic analysis and evaluation
of the main results, trends, proportions and problems of regional economic development;
development of methodological aspects of strategic analysis of regional economic
development, within which the basic laws of development of regional economy,
terminological elements, and principles of analytical work, should be define;
the development of the economy of the region strategic analysis of the work to
develop proposals for the implementation of the guidelines is important.
Regional economic transformation, the results of the strategic analysis of the
theoretical and methodological aspects of the development of productive forces and
production relations placing of interaction processes that determine changes in the structure

In this connection, it is of particular interest to consider the forms of manifestation of
