CONCLUSION
The main purpose of this course work was to study the factors that influenced the creation of a novel based on a historical line with a mixture of a romantic line. Analyze the behavior of the characters of the novel and analyze the work itself from the point of view of the study of the novel "Gone with the Wind" as a historical novel.
Margaret Mitchell showed very well in her novel all the trials and hardships of that war, as well as how destinies and human values developed. She very accurately drew a line about the values of human values, showing the behavior, attitude to people's lives in peacetime, before the war and after the war, showing how people change priorities and attitudes to life after the war.
Even if the amazing similarities of the biography of Mitchell herself with the plot of the novel, she completely denied any hints that the story is connected with her life. The skill of M. Mitchell in "Gone with the Wind" was manifested in the creation of unique and inimitable characters, each endowed with a bright non-standard appearance and at the same time reflecting, each in its own way, the historical content of the era.
Margaret's philosophy was the philosophy of "chance." She studied people and made her conclusions about it. Creating her characters, she proceeded from her own opinion and observation of the actions of people, but not from a preconceived idea of how they should behave. She portrayed them as they were.
The novel is so catchy and fascinating at the same time with its tragedy and at the same time with the most beautiful feeling on earth, love! It makes you think about vital ideas and desires, even if the author himself claims that the story is fictional, it shows the human facet of characters, the reader can find a piece of himself in each of the characters, that's what really makes you think and touches the deepest strings of the soul.
The story of Scarlett O'Hara touches the hearts of people who often had little or no idea what the American Civil War was, and even those who were not interested in it at all. As an eyewitness wrote, they saw in "Gone with the Wind" "a narrative about how to endure defeat, to survive physically, like Scarlett, and also to survive spiritually, like Melanie, to protect the value system left over from civilization that no longer exists.
In conclusion, everything is summed up and the main point of view is repeated: Scarlett is a modern woman in the old days. She's different. However, the society in which we live is advanced, so we can imitate it, of course, not in all its manifestations. Her bitter experience has turned her into a strong woman. When we face difficulties, we will call the memories of Scarlett and her words to the world ― “Tomorrow will be another day"! Scarlett is an attractive steel rose.
