15. Translate into Russian, with the aid of a dictionary:
1. Pigs are reared on a pig farm, chickens on a poultry farm and cows on a dairy farm.
2. Milkmaids milk the cows at dawn, often with the aid of a milking machine, and the milk is
loaded onto lorries and distributed to towns and villages.
3. In Scotland the harvest is brought in later than in other regions of Great Britain, which is
explained by weather conditions.
4. After the Second World War the British goverment nationalised many industrial enterprises,
also the system of health care, the education system and the railways.
5. Before the Revolution of 1917 Russia was a backward country, but it succeeded in
industrialising the economy and in defeating the Fascists.
