In  Figure  5.4  the  variability  in  energy  expenditure  is  illustrated  by  the  95

variability  in  expected  energy  consumption  is  significantly  larger  for  ARQ  then  for  Hybrid-ARQ-

Adaptive-FEC. Additionally, through the numerical evaluations we, have seen that the 75
