RECEIPT OF MINERAL FIBERS

As is known [1,2], the appearance of the crystalline phase in the melt is 
distinguished, respectively affects the process of fiber formation and at the 
temperature stability of the fiber. Therefore, for the study of experimental 
formations of mineral fibers, the crystallization abilities of silicate melts were 
determined. It should be noted that the crystallization capacity is one of the main 
properties of silicate melts affecting the properties of mineral fibers. From the 
classical technology of producing mineral fiber, it is known that the fiber 
generation temperature depends on the upper value of the crystallization 
temperature. The fiber generation temperature should be 50-70 °C above the upper 
crystallization temperature to eliminate the crystallization process in the 
development zone. 
In this connection, an experimental study was carried out by the effect of the 
crystallization process of the resulting melt on the phase composition of the 
prototype. To obtain the melt, the fibers of an experimental sample raw material 
mixtures were kept at a temperature of 1350 °C for 30 minutes. After that, the test 
experienced samples were transferred to pre-calcined corundum boats. The 
crystallization of the experimental developed samples was determined by the 
results of heat treatment in the SNOL grade electric furnace in the temperature 
range ranging from 600, 850, 950 and 1050 °C with an excerpt of 1 hour at each 
temperature. After expiration, the exposure time, the prototypes were slowly 
cooled inside the furnace with a decrease in the temperature of 50 °C every 60 min 
to room floor. Based on the experimental studies of the technological parameters of 
the developed samples, it was found that viscosity values, melting point and the 
upper limit of crystallization (T
u.l.c.
) affects the process of producing basal-tone 
fiber. Therefore, in the process of studying the crystallization ability of prototypes, 
it was found that the introduction of modifying components leads to a decrease in 
the viscosity of the resulting melt.

It should be noted that the largest process is manifested when using the 
dolomite mineral. Following the carbonate rocks of a significant effect on a 
decrease in crystallization ability does not. The introduction of slag additives 
contributes to a decrease in the top of the crystallization temperature by 80-100 °C, 
but slightly affects the viscosity of the melt. As can be seen from the data Table the 
interval of the design of andesibasalt fiber developed by prototypes is within a 
temperature of 1300-1350 ° C.
