Say: 'Stand up, please. Good morning, class.' Use gestures so the pupils stand up. Say: 'How are you?' Get the answers from the pupils.Say: 'Sit down, please.' Use gestures so the pupils sit down.
Show the pupils the textbook and say: 'Take out your books.' Make sure all the children have their Pupil's Book. Say: 'Open your books on Page 11.' Point to Activity 1. Use gestures and wait for all the children to open their textbooks. Check they have the correct page. Say: 'Listen to the song and repeat.' Play the DVD.
Sing the song along with pupils. Ask: 'What's the song about?' Accept anything reasonable, etc. DVD script:

Activity 2a Look, listen and repeat. 15 min Objectives: to introduce the comparative degree of adjectives: bigger, smaller, taller, shorter, younger, stronger; to develop speaking skills.
Steps: InteractionWhole class
Write the words tall, short, big, short, small on the board. Point to the word "tall" and say: 'You can see the word "tall".' Point to one of the boys and say: 'Sarvar's tall.' Then add "-er" to the word "tall" and say: 'Now you can see the word "taller".' Point to a taller boy and say: 'Hakim's taller than Sarvar.' Then say: 'Look and listen.' Use gestures to attract their attention.Point to Activity 2a and play the DVD, track smaller, taller... Ask the pupils to sing the song. Then show a picture of a cat and say: 'It's big.' Show a picture of a tiger and say: 'It's bigger.' Point to a chair and say: 'It's big.' Point to a desk and say: 'It's bigger.' Use gestures and enable the pupils to say: 'big', 'bigger'. While saying the words, point to the things. Point to the chair and say: 'Big.' Point to the desk and say: 'Bigger.' Show the picture of a cat and enable the pupils to say: 'Big.'Show the picture of a tiger and enable the pupils to say: 'Bigger.'Do this activity with several things. Activity 3 Play "I am taller". 5 min
Objective: to consolidate the comparative degree of adjectives
Steps: InteractionWhole class
Say with gestures: 'Stand up, please. Come to the board'Put the smallest boy/girl in the first place. Then put a taller boy/girl in the second place, etc. so that all of them stand next to each other according to their height.When the line is formed, have the smallest boy/ girl say: 'I'm tall.'Then have the next boys/girls say: 'I'm taller.' The pupils can repeat it once more.
Activity 4 Play "I am taller than you". 5 min
Objectives: to consolidate the comparative degree of adjectives; to introduce the comparative conjunction "than".
