Fresh -man International applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements: A. A student who has completed, or is expected to complete primary and secondary education at the time of application (Vocational
schools are included).
※ If a student is educated in two or more countries, total education period should be 12 years or more.
B. A non-Korean national who satisfies language proficiency requirements specified below;
(1) English Track: Business Administration, Public Administration, Faculty of Hospitality, Tourism and Food Service Management,
Computer Science and Engineering
- A person who meets at least one of the following language proficiency requirements
※ Students from a country which use English language as their official language (e.g. the US) are exempted from this
requirement. (Appendix 2)
(2-1) Korean Track: Applying with TOPIK Score
- A person who meets minimum TOPIK score below

※ Korean track students with TOPIK Level 3 or lower (Level 2 for Creative Studies, and Arts and Physical Education majors) at the

TOPIK before graduation.
(2-2) Korean Track: Applying with Sejong Korean Language Program Completion
- A person who has registered and completed 2 or more semesters in the Center for International Education in Sejong University,
and recommended by the head of the Center for International Education in Sejong University will meet requirement as a substitution.
(※ A recommendation letter from the head of the Center for International Education in Sejong University is required.)

※ If you meet the requirements of the TOPIK as mentioned in (2-1) you must apply with the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK)
instead of the Korean Proficiency Test at Sejong University. There may be disadvantages if you apply with 'Sejong University
Korean Language Course Completion' due to your negligence.
(3) Preliminary assessment: Those who do not meet the above language proficiency requirements can still apply for admission. Once
passed, they can be admitted upon satisfying the language proficiency requirement.

- Those who do not meet the language proficiency requirements can still apply for admission and get selected based on their other
academic abilities.
- Successful applicants will receive a Letter of Preliminary Acceptance.
- In order for them to be admitted to Sejong University, they need to complete the online application process again after satisfying
the language proficiency requirement of the enrolling semester (chosen department cannot be changed). At this time, the application
fee will be waived, and the students will not be required to re-submit any of the documents they have already submitted.
- Once they are admitted and receive a Letter of Acceptance, they will enroll by paying the tuition fees.
- The Letter of Preliminary Acceptance will remain effective for a year starting from the date on which the application for preliminary
assessment was first submitted. The language proficiency requirements must be met and any subsequent online application must be
completed within this period.
- Students satisfying the language proficiency requirement should request for exemption of application fee after filling out the
application form by submitting Letter of Preliminary Acceptance and TOPIK transcript. (Preliminary accepted students must satisfy
language proficiency requirement before online application.)
- Preliminary accepted students must study at the Center for International Education in Sejong University right after the announcement
date of admission decision till achieving required TOPIK scores (attendance certificate should be submitted).
