HOW IS UZBEKISTAN’S TOURISTIC ABILITY?
I think Uzbekistan’s touristic ability is very good. That’s for our ancestors had ancient sightseeing places built in XV-XVI centuries. Especially, Amir Temur, Mirzo Ulugbek, Shayboniykhon, Ubaydullokhon, Amir Olimkhon and his brother Amir Umarkhon had our historical buildings which are the most popular among tourists built. They had buildings built more than thirty six thousand. But nowadays, there are only seven thousand ancient buildings. More of them were damaged by wars.
Many of them are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. A trip to the ancient cities of our country, attracting with its unique architecture, monuments of cultural heritage, old shops and artisan’s workshops, will undoubtedly leave a bright and unforgettable experience for every traveler.
In 2005, 240.000 tourists from 117 countries visited Uzbekistan. The industry earned US$30 million (90.9 % of forecast). Overall, the tourism sector served 621.700 people and rendered services for 40.6 billion soums (73.1% of forecast). The industry earned 598.4 million soums. Each autumn, the Uzbek travel industry hold an International Tourism Fair.
In 2015, France received the most many tourists (83.7 million), USA (74.8 million), Spain (65 million), China (55.6 million) and Italy (48.6 million).
For nature lovers, Uzbekistan is a great place to spend your holidays, because the beauty of the area is fascinating at first sight: an incredible combination of mountain and plain landscapes, fast flowing and clear rivers, the largest of which are the Syr Darya and the Amu Darya, the exotic fauna and the rich flora.
Tourist activities in Uzbekistan range from outdoor activities, such as rock-climbing, to exploration of its rich archeological and religious history.
IS UZBEKISTAN MODERN OR ANCIENT?
It is no secret that Uzbekistan is attractive for its rich cultural and historical heritage, unique architecture and monuments of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Shakhrisabz, Khiva, Urgench, Termez, Karakalpakstan are the main foundation of historical and educational tourism in Uzbekistan.
Each corner of Uzbekistan attracts with its features. In Tashkent, you can take a walk in the most beautiful metro in the world or see the most ancient manuscript – the Koran of Usman. In the southern part of the country – Surkhandarya, you can travel through mountain gorges or see the ruins of the ancient cities near Termez.
Modern life is very comfortable to live in Uzbekistan. The industry is going to improve. They are developing different things and exporting them other countries of the world. Uzbek businessmen and businesswomen are buying various tools from other development countries for create things. Therefore Uzbekistan is making progresses in each branches by export and import.
