The aim of the lesson:

- To develop thinking skills


Learning outcomes:
At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to make up sentences using new
Words, different constructions, to practice using constructions in daily speech
Type of the lesson: traditional
Method of the lesson: group work
Equipment: Pupil‟s Book; the DVD of the book
The Procedure of the lesson:

  1. Org.moment:

- greeting
- checking up the register
- checking up the home task


  1. Pre-activity

Activity 1 Work in pairs. Read and say what business foreign companies could set up in your area
Objective: To give information and make them to speak about regional industry
Ask to read the table given below and discus Types of activity and Resource potential, then make a sentence to one region.

Activity 2 .Work in three groups. Organize a joint venture. Draw a poster to explain your joint venture to the class.
1 Decide on roles. Half of the group should be from Uzbekistan. The other half are representatives of a foreign company.
2 Decide what the joint venture will manufacture.
3 Agree on who will do what and make two lists. In the cloud are the things you should agree on. You can add more if you like

4 Agree on: How much each step will cost. Remember that in a joint venture each company is responsible for paying its own costs.
5 Imagine you have done the work and sold the goods (e.g. making teapots and selling them overseas and in Uzbekistan).
6 Add up the money and take away the costs from the money. What is left is the profit. 7 Agree on how to share the profit – 50/50 or 30/70?
Objective: To check their understanding of the topic
Ask them work in groups and make a poster. Each group should produce their own a new business activity, decide who will be a local or foreign company. explane instruction. Then check whether they are following to the rules.
While they are presenting their poster, check and then give feedback.
