There can be no doubt that the twentieth century is one of the most remarkable in human history for its previously unprecedented rate of technological advances and scientific discoveries that changed the world, which continues to this day.
In fact, there were so many new gadgets, inventions, and discoveries made in the last century that it’s difficult to pare the list down to just the fifteen (which is why there will be several glaring omissions from my list). However, I think I have managed to whittle it down to those fifteen innovations or technologies that have had the greatest influence on humanity—both positively and negatively. And so, without further ado and in no particular order, here are my nominees for the fifteen greatest inventions/discoveries of the twentieth century:
Top 15 Greatest Inventions
Xerography
The duplicate print of the original reduced the handwork and made the world simple by printing and making a photocopy. Started the service with grayscale prints, then later it could develop color images and prints. Having many types of printers and their effects. Xerography may finally supplant traditional printing for the production of books and magazines.
The Submarine
The first real submarine was invented in the 1880s, it wasn’t until the twentieth century that the modern submarine came into its own. Today the submarine nearly unlimited range in capacity. The two types of ship: submarines and targets. How useful and effective is the modern submarine?
Nuclear Energy
Suddenly humanity had a power source that didn’t pollute, was efficient and practically unlimited, and had the potential to change the planet overnight. Unfortunately, it was a two-edged sword in that this same energy source could be used to create the most destructive weapons in history, threatening human survival with its very presence. While the third world war and, when operated safely, nuclear power plants genuinely are a superb and cost-efficient energy source that has the capacity to power entire cities.
. Rocketry
It came before three thousand years ago as the Chinese war weapon and destroyed lives in the 20th century. Most importantly, now they became controllable, which suddenly made them useful both as weapons of war and purposely using some facts. Without the rocket, it is safe to say we cannot visit every planet in our solar system. Rockets also place satellites into orbit around our planet, so without them, no GPS, predict the weather, make international calls or, for the most part, even use our cell phones much of the time.
Antibiotics
Antibiotics are playing an essential role in saving people from the disease. After Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin in 1928, it reduces death due to bacterial infection and longer life span. It is also curing of smallpox and typhoid. Antibiotics are treats easily.
