Objective: in this practical lesson Ss gain a practical understanding of Total Physical Response and come up with practical implications for further teaching
Key terms: TPR, realia, drilling, deductive and inductive methods.
Key concepts: Total Physical Response is built around the coordination of speech and action.
Total Physical Response must be combined with other teaching approaches and methods.
Problems and activities for disscussion in the practical lesson
• Ss experience and reflect on a lesson practising overall four periods of history of teaching foreign languages.
• Ss reflect on a lesson methodists in the histotical period
• Ss analyze the methods of teaching from different perspectives
Note: Ss will work with the activities on p. 205-211 the book Becoming a teacher, K. Alimova, N. Mukhammedova, B. Brewerton.

I. Beginning stage (1-2 min)
-Introducing aims and tasks
II. Warm up. (5 min)
Cluster
Cluster- Method serves for stimulating brain activity. Spontaneous thinking is free from any censorship. It's graphic strategy for semantic explanation of the material. Thoughts are not crowded but clustered in special order.
Procedure:
1. Key word/term/phrase;
2. Noting words coming into mind spontaneously around the key one. They are circled and linked with the key point.
3. Each word forms new point for further associations. Thus new associative chains are created.

1) Theory 25 min
2) Practice - 40 min
Microteaching. Setting FL lesson aims for different stages of education (primary school, secondary school, college) according to given topic eg. “Holidays” (in small groups)

Testing (questions)
Chain game (7 min). Name one methodical category/ term connected with teaching content.
