Annotation. 
The years of independence have also been formed in Uzbek linguistics. As in all 
branches of linguistics, there has been a shift in terminology. Terminology is a very solid field, 
and the terminology of Uzbek linguistics is an indispensable part of it. Accordingly, the state of 
linguistics in terms of independence during its independence is an important source for the 
development of Uzbek linguistics. One of the richest, most mobile, and most varied layers of the 
lexicon of the Uzbek language is the basic function of the term to fully understand the essence of 
the concept. As long as the regulation of terms in each area is a continuous process, adherence 
to terminological principles and norms must be the main criterion. The article analyzes some of 
the new terminology of modern Uzbek linguistics, referring to the criteria for terminology 
terminology, the outbreak of the term, and the introduction of suggestions. Terminology, which is 
a terminology-specific synonymy, separates terms into active and non-essential types. During the 
years of independence, changes in the terminology of traditional Uzbek linguistics have been 
demonstrated through examples in the article.

Oʻzbek tilshunosligi taraqqiyoti davrida bugungi kungacha 3 ta paradigmani 
shakllantirdi: an’anaviy oʻzbek tilshunosligi, sistem-struktur tilshunoslik va antroposentrik 
tilshunoslik. Mustaqillik yillarida sistem-struktur va antroposentrik tilshunoslik paydo 
boʻlganligi sababli, bu maqola uchun manba sifatida shu ikki tilshunoslik doirasida qilingan 
tadqiqotlar, darsliklar olindi. 
 
Har qanday amaldagi til doim rivojlanib, takomillashib boradi. Bu oʻz navbatida 
terminologik tizimga ham oʻz ta’sirini koʻrsatadi, yangi tushunchalar, terminlar vujudga keladi. 
Oʻzbek tili leksikasining eng boy, eng harakatchan va oʻta oʻzgaruvchan qatlamlaridan biri 
boʻlgan terminlarning bosh vazifasi tushuncha mohiyatini, mazmunini toʻlaqonli anglatishdir. 
Ma’lumki, fikrni toʻliq va aniq ifodalash uchun unga mutanosib holda til birliklari ham 
koʻp qoʻllaniladi. Til doim maksimal aniqlikka intilar ekan, ortqichalikning vujudga kelishi 
tabiiy. Fikrning qisqa, loʻnda ifodalanishi esa oʻz navbatida tejamlilikni talab qiladi. Tadqiqot, 
asosan, mustaqillik yillarida oʻzbek tilshunosligi terminlarida kuztilgan holatlar, oʻzgarishlarni 
ochib berishga qaratilgan.
