Annotation. This article analyzes the deixis theory of pragmalinguistics, one of the 

new directions of the anthropocentric paradigm, and its, features, as well as the linguistic 

features  of  the  great  poet  Yusuf  Khos  Hajib’s  epic  “Kutadgu  bilig”  from  pragmalinguistics 

point, their importance in linking parts of the literary text are analyzed in detail, some verses 

from the epic are given as examples and the type, function of the sign units used in them, their 

role in revealing the content of the text are discussed.
