Conclusion
As an conclusion, I have done all things according to the plan. Starting to conclude I would like to emphasize the purpose of choosing this topic, while there were other interesting ones. Since being pretty keen on Shakespeare's works, particularly historical drama genre there was eagerness to know more about this . Writing about the most vital thing that I have found out, William Shakespeare has highly contributed to the not only English but also world literature with his unique works .
After looking through all above, some points are discovered by me . In a word , Shakespeare could give a broad panorama of English Life especially known king's life in his historical dramas .Scenes of private and domestic life alternate with heroic episodes of war and political intrigues. The principal idea of his historical plays is the necessity of the consolidation of the country under the king. And also If we apply for his historical dramas we can learn more about not only kings and lords but also common people in that period . Because he presented gallery of characters in his works ; rich and poor , great and humble , good and devil. In his historical plays , the feudal lords who struggle with each other and against the king are doomed, and their fall is inevitable. Like the majority of humanists of his time Shakespeare believed in a wise and humane king who would like to serve his country. But with the only exception of Henry V Shakespeare’s treatment of real English kings is extremely critical. His histories dramatize the Hundred Years War with France, giving us the Henry Tetralogy, "Richard II," "Richard III," and "King John"—many of which feature the same characters at different ages. And I realized in all his histories, Shakespeare provides social commentary through his characters and plots.
By analysing John King historical drama I used my backround information about renaissance ere in England . In this drama John King plays main role who goes to war against the French after claims that his nephew should be king instead. John has conflict with the church, orders his nephew's death, and turns the nobles against himself. In the end, John dies from poison, the French retreat, and his son becomes King.
If I write about my own idea about John King he was a bad and unfair king . His unpleasant personality compounds his mistakes. And also he is considerable failure as a king. Why I am writing him unsuccessful ? Because he loses a large amount of possessions inherited, in particular lands in France, like Normandy and Anjou. While reading this drama I really syphathized the position of Arthur . Although Arthur is a real contender for the throne, he is sentenced to death by his uncle. Was his guilt that he was a young boy? By studying this work, I realized that nothing in this world is left empty. Punishment is inevitable in the end for every evil we do.
I hope the significance of the research is determined by the necessity of detailed and comprehensive analysis of peculiarities of literature which might be attractive to any reader. I have intended to make a little contribution to the development of the process that is, development of learning English literature . I think that I can achieve what I have intended and the material that I worked on can serve as an important source for not only the students who are doing an academic research on learning literature but also who are simply interested in literature.
