Both must be created by an artist, both must be interpreted, and both have the goal of presenting a message to those who stumble upon it. The only difference between the two is that music is exclusively auditory, while art can be consumed through any number of the senses. I’d go as far as saying that music is in fact, art, perhaps not the first thing that springs to mind when the word art is used, but it meets all the same criteria that visual art does.
“The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.” - Oxford Dictionary

Music is an application of human creative skill and takes imagination to produce. It induces emotions in people; thats why we listen to it.
Music spans just as wide a range of mediums as visual art does, it doesn’t have to be your standard pop song or Beethoven piece,
it can be jarring and disturbing to listen to, created from meticulously thought out patterns (Xenakis, Davies), be complete silence (Cage), or just be environmental sounds warped and replayed to a degree you may not recognise (Parmegianni).

Art is so subjective and creative that even the very word ‘art’ is subjecive.
If we are talking about the broad definition of art there is no difference between music and art because they are both artistic.
They both intended to be appreciated artistically. The broad definition could also see nature as art, even non-creative subjects such as maths could be used artistically. There’s still debate about that though. Some would say it’s simply natural beauty in the universe. Others would say that it could be considered art in itself and is even the focal point/moral in some art pieces.
Using software like Max/MSP you can create music directly from visual art and vice versa - the boundaries between them are not as large as you might think they are. Nothing. Art has a very broad definition depending on who you talk to. If you don’t differentiate between what you mean then art is assumed to mean anything that could have artistic value be it music, paintings or even nature.

The best knives are made in two ancient cities of Uzbekistan – in Chust (Namangan region) and Shakhrikhan (Andijan region). Chust and Shakhrikhan knives are considered legendary, their strength and beauty are great, highly valued by collectors and chefs not only in Uzbekistan, but also around the world.
