The Trevor McFadden Memorial Scholarship Award

The scholarship is given in the memory of Trevor McFadden who would have been a graduate of Uniontown High School Class of 2015. Trevor McFadden attended Uniontown High School and he was a very outgoing and loving person. Trevor was always helping people in need. He enjoyed playing basketball and other sports. Trevor was very good at making people laugh, he could put a smile on someone’s face on their worst day. This scholarship is being given by his family through the East End United Community Center.

Award Process

Two scholarships will be awarded each year.

The amount of funds given each year may vary due to the decision of the subcommittee.

The subcommittee will be comprised of East End United Community Center board of director’s members and a family member from the Trevor McFadden family.

The award shall be paid by check made out to both the student and the college or university the student will attend.

Scholarship Guidelines

• 
  Student must have a GPA of 3.25 or above
  
• 
  Attending Uniontown High School Senior
  
• 
  Exhibits leadership, thoughtfulness, concern for others wellbeing.
  
• 
  One to a male basketball player and another to a student both are required to meet these guidelines
  
• 
  A two page typed autobiographical essay. Describe how you exhibited at least one of Trevor McFadden’s characteristics and one life event that impacted you and those around you.
  
• 
  Copy of unofficial transcript from Uniontown High School
  
• 
  One letter of reference from one of the following: teacher, guidance counselor, vice principal, or principal.
