The trailer begins with a very quick production logo, which is a common theme across all of the teaser trailers we have deconstructed. This logo is supported by a loud blast of sound to instantly help set the tone, and get the audience excited, for the trailer. Quick cuts are also seen during a montage, which follows the production logo, and also helps to build this tense, suspenseful 30 second trailer. The text 'You Know' fades onto the screen also in time to the music which lets the audience know this film will be part of a series that they already have seen and remember. This creates a target audience of previous watchers of the Jason Bourne series. More action follows and includes various close ups to make the audience feel as though they are in the scenes. The text 'His name' then appears on screen in a similar style as the words used beforehand. This reinforces the knowledge of the audience as the film being part of a series. More action, followed by a close up of Matt Damon, playing Jason Bourne, confirms the audience's thoughts on the series. This is also backed up by the first dialogue in the trailer coming from an asynchronous perspective saying 'Oh god it's Jason Bourne. This, again, reinforces the audience's knowledge and makes them anticipate the following film in the Jason Bourne franchise.
The release time 'This Summer' is next on screen which helps the audience to know when the film will be released so they can begin to make plans to see it over summer. More dialogue, followed by more action, helps to build upon the narrative whilst also keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. Without the action to break up the dialogue the audience may get bored and not remember the 30 seconds. This may, in turn, put them off of wanting to go and watch it when it comes out. The name caption for the main lead 'Matt Damon' gets the audience excited to see such a iconic actor. When seeing Matt Damon, especially in a trailer, links are instantly made towards action and adventure which, therefore, helps to reinstate the audience from the previous movies. In the action which takes place next there is a lot of camera movement. Through the use of pans, tilts, zooms and hand held camera work the director of the teaser trailer has been able to make the audience follow the action, and therefore become engulfed by it, more. The trailer ends with dialogue which says "We need the perfect weapon" followed by a close up of Matt Damon and the title of the film "Jason Bourne' appear on screen. This helps the audience to define Matt Damon as the actor playing Jason Bourne which gets the target audience of previous Jason Bourne fans excited to see the actor play the main protagonist again.
