Activity 2a
Objectives: to enable PP to talk about school rules in their school and generally in Uzbekistan;
to provide practice in reading for the main ideas
to introduce new vocabulary- strict, respect, concentrate, value, uniform, appropriate, style, allow, around, staff, chewing gum, improve, feedback, campus, leave, permission, absence.
I ask groups to read through the rules quickly and elicit any unknown vocabulary.
Groups find the words in the Wordlist and translate them.
I help them to understand and pronounce correctly. I drill PP in the pronunciation of the words.
I ask PP to read through the rules again and decide if there are any that they would like to have in their school. Are there any that are not necessary in Uzbekistan?
