Consequently, it is impossible to develop spirituality without changing the system of education and on this basis, consciousness. To do this, every parent, teacher and coach must first see the person in the image of each child. Based on this simple fact, we must accept that the main goal and task of education should be to bring up our children as independent and broad-minded, conscious people. This requires a balanced approach to education.

“It is not necessary to use atomic bombs or long-range missiles to destroy any nation.It is enough to reduce the quality of education and unfair conduct of students in exams:


  • Patients die at the hands of illiterate doctors.

  • Buildings are destroyed by the hands of illiterate engineers.

  • Money disappears from the hands of such economists and accountants.

  • Justice is lost in the hands of such lawyers and judges.

On the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Education" (23.09.2020.1997 August 29) and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on additional measures to further improve the education system PQ 4884 November 6, 2020, PF 6108 November 6, 2020, August 27, 2019 Decree No. PF-5789 "On the introduction of a system of continuous training of managers and teachers of educational institutions." Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the leadership of higher education institutions andResolution No. 797 of September 23, 2019 "On additional measures to further improve the system of professional development of teachers."

Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 8, 2019 PF-5847 "On approval of the Concept of development of the higher education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030" Resolution PQ-4708.

Education is inseparable from upbringing, and upbringing is inseparable from education - this is the Eastern outlook, the Eastern philosophy of life. When thinking about this, it is necessary to remember the profound words of Abdullah Avloni"Education is for us a matter of life or death, salvation or destruction or happiness or disaster." These words of our enlightened ancestor are as important and relevant for our nation today as they were at the beginning of the last century, but even more important and relevant today. When the time comes, remembering these said thoughts will make a person confused.

The National Program of Personnel Training has opened new horizons and opportunities for the introduction of international educational standards in the higher education system of our country, the use of national experience and traditions in the training of highly qualified modern personnel, as well as advanced world experience. It is on the basis of these documents to strengthen and develop the material and technical base of higher education institutions, equip them with modern teaching laboratory equipment and computers, provide textbooks and teaching materials, teaching staff, train innovative teachers, improve their skills, encourage their work. strengthening measures have been clearly identified.

The reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan today in the field of education are in many respects in line with the process of modernization of our country. At the same time, measures are being taken to modernize teaching, teaching and research activities in the system of higher and secondary special education, to strengthen innovative areas in the process of education and research. The main purpose of these events is to raise the technology of training of national specialists with a high level of intellectual potential and the content of education to a new level.

In this regard, the following ideas of the President are a program that determines the importance of these processes and directs them to the goal:

"It is no secret that the XXI century in which we live today is a century dominated by intellectual wealth. If one does not realize this fact in time, if the pursuit of intellectual wealth does not become a part of everyday life for any nation and state, such a state will inevitably be left out of the path of world development.

A typical English lesson consists of many parts, for example: exposition, revision,explanation, practice, testing, etc. However, if we want the best for our students and make our lessons more successful, we have to encourage the students and earn their attention. These goals can be achieved by a great number of possible short-time activities. The most typical ones are icebreakers, team builders andwritings, more specifically energizers, fillers and coolers. The topic of activation methods has recently become quite popular among English teachers and professionals. The latest trends in teaching are that the majority of teachers wants to use these activities. They are fashionable and when a delegate from the Ministry of Education comes to observe and evaluate the quality of teaching, they usually require to include them in lesson plans. Despite this strong pressure, there are many teachers who still do not

know how to select the most appropriate activity for their classes.

There is an abundance of sources and inspirations for these activities with plenty ofnotes, tips and other recommendations. However, I would like to highlight that aninexperienced teacher can misunderstand the usage of a specific activity or use an inappropriate one at the worst moment of an English lesson. For example, a teacher leads an English lesson with six graders. They are exactly in the middle of the lesson and needs to cool down the students because he plans to explain following instructions that are crucial for another part of the lesson. The short-time activity is used, nevertheless it is misused, because instead of a cooler activity, energizer was applied. It means that the students became more active and noisy, which is exactly the opposite of teacher’s previous intentions. The result of the lesson is that the students are interested and motivated for English, yet the teacher does not meet the aims and has to postpone the plans for the next lesson. These are the main reasons why I have decided to select this issue for my bachelor thesis.

Many students complain that they feel bored doing same thing again and again from the beginning to end of a class. As they do not feel interested in class, they cannot progress much in learning a language. Unfortunately, many teachers do not pay attention whether or not students feel interested and motivated to work with the activities they provide in classes. It is needed to find out how to keep students’ interest in learning (Jun, 2000). Using writing activities can be one way to bring variation in class activity and to make the students curious, focus their attention, provide them purpose and motivation (Eragamreddy, 2013).

It will not be a successful class if the students do not feel interested at the very beginning of a class. So, a teacher should try to start a lesson in a way which keeps his/her students engaged. An interesting way of starting a lesson could be using activities calledwriting or ice-breakersactivities (Robertson &Acklam, 2000). Different types ofwritingor ice-breakers activities such as songs, games and discussion questions can be used to get students’ attention in class (Treko, 2013). Ruiz and Ramírez (2008) state that to improve students’ learning and to get the best from them, it is a must to start a class with a goodwriting session (p.174).



Actuality of the research work is to suggest the principles, advantages and disadvantages of writing activities as letters and essays and strategies.

Object of the work is the process of applying writing activities in classes at educational Institutions.

Subject of the research: practical activities used to enhance writing skills of learners.

Aim of the research is to search influences of writing activities to use in teaching process.

In this work it is necessary to solve the following primary objectives

  • Theoretically to comprehend and approve in practice available approaches to teachinga foreignlanguage in high school.

  • To analyze the basic contents of a teaching material and principles of its organization in a rare of foreign language

  • To compare suggested approaches and to choose the most comprehensible.

A brief analysis of the literature and legal documents used for the preparation of graduation work: to prepare this graduation work, the law on “Education”, “National Program for Personnel Training”. documents on “Higher Education". “State youth policy” which are based on the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its educational ank les as well as the works of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M.Mirziyoyev were investigated and studied thoroughly. These works highlight the need for the use of pedagogical and information technology in educational processes to enhance die effectiveness of the educational process.

In order to investigate the problem of the research and to show the importance applying the target research topic I used a wide range of foreign and local scientists' researches conducted in the field of my investigation. They are the following:

Scientific basis includes theoretical and practical sources about writing activities in leaching English in our republic and foreign countries.

Theoretical value of this work is in its results, having received which it will be possible to organize effectively teaching process,using in practice methods and ways of teaching which were offered in this work.

Practical value of the work is in given methodical recommendations and great number of methods and techniques which can be applied by teachers of English.

The structure of this work consists of the following parts: introduction, theoretical part, practical part, conclusion and references.

The conclusion sums up the done work.

The bibliography contains the most known and important researches for die given work of teachers-innovators and scientists: psychologists, didactists, methodologists.

In some foreign countries a survey has conducted among some universities for this paper to find out whether writing activities play an important role in language learning classroom and whether they are useful for teachers and students in language teaching and learning. The result of the survey showed that they are helpful to use a writing activities in language classroom. This paper concluded with some suggestions.
