The main verb is also called the lexical verb or the principal verb. This term refers to the important verb in the sentence, the one that typically shows the action or state of being of the subject

Topicality of the course paper. As it is being paid great importance to teaching and learning of foreign languages, great number of researches have being done in this field. It is dedicated to conceptual analysis of the verb as a primary part of speech in modern English and Uzbek, and their lexical-stylistic features, when we translate the source it is possible to face challenges with stylistics problems in this field. Verbs have not lost its intriguing feature so far. It is now being investigated in deeper scale connected with mind. Scholars now are eager to know about why men use this or that metaphor, what inspires or triggers them to use metaphor and likewise issues. Verbs was and is one of the most captivating and intriguing aspects of linguists. Therefore, its importance does not shrink and stay actually.
The literature review. In the course paper several scientific articles, books , monographs and other sources were developed. Mostly Uzbek and English language articles , newspapers were comprised according to course paper’s theme, thus different scholars works were observed; ‘‘English words: Robert Stockwell , Charles Dickens, Jean Boase, Xajiyev S.K., Mengliyev B., Xoliyorov O’. ¹ and others.
The aim of the course paper is to learn main points of verbs and avoiding making various types of mistakes in this field; To learn verbs as a part of speech in English and Uzbek languages. To find out how often problems (especially those with mentality elements) occur in the English and the Uzbek languages. Moreover, to analyze them conceptually and categorize them based other certain conceptions.
To reach this aim we have the following tasks forward:

The subject of the work is verb as a primary part of speech in Modern Uzbek and English.
